congratulations to our newest grooming school graduates.

Over the past several months, our grooming students transformed lessons into hands-on experience by building their technical skills, learning to work with different dogs and coat types, and growing more confident with every groom.

Learning Through Service

One of the most meaningful experiences was working with adoptable dogs before their adoption fair. Students helped each dog look and feel their best for the big day while gaining valuable experience adapting their approach to the needs of the individual dog. we especially loved working with Glacier, the great pyranees puppy, who found her forever home the very next day.

Bark in the Park

Students also stepped beyond the salon and into the community REPRESENTING mADISON COLLEGE’S GROOMING PROGRAM at the dog-friendly Bark in the Park games put on by the Madison Mallards and madison mares at WARNER PARK. It was an opportunity to meet local pets and their people, share what they were learning, and experience another side of the professional grooming world.

First All American

A major class highlight was attending the All American Grooming Show for the first time. Students had the chance to see talented groomers at work, explore new tools and products, and experience the creativity, education and community of the grooming industry on a much larger scale.

From Students to Groomers

Throughout the class, students worked with puppies, foster dogs and pets with many different coats, personalities and needs. They practiced everything from bathing, drying and prep work to scissoring, finishing, breed identification, safe handling and cooperative caRE TECHNIQUES

After months of learning, practicing and growing, they completed their PGC exams and celebrated graduation.

We are so proud of everything this group accomplished—and grateful to every dog, pet parent, community partner and instructor who helped make these experiences possible.
